Outline
Like her father, Alba is chrono-displaced, meaning she can’t control when or where she travels, and usually gets pulled back into the past, but rarely in the future, where there is a significance for them.
I will structure the story the way that the original book was. I will write the date, and the age of the characters, so the readers do not get confused. The readers will also be reading from Alba’s point of view. I am introducing a new character, Flynn, who doesn't believe and accept the idea o time-traveling.

Plot (so far) / Synopsis
Eventually, she meets Flynn, her 15-year old son in the future, who tells her how he thinks that his mother may be crazy, as she claims that she can once travel through time. She goes and seeks Flynn's mother, not realizing that she is an older version of herself, hoping that she has the solution, and stop time travelling.

ReplyDeleteI think this is a brilliant idea! I love the little twist in it, and how Alba doesn't know that Flynn is her son. I think it is smart to title each new section with the date, and I like that it is from the daughter's point of view, moving away from the original book, where it was from Claire and Henry's point of view?

I have not read the book, and am unfamiliar with the story, but I like the idea and think that moving away from the original characters and continuing the story from another POV is a good idea. The fact that the daughter is now the time traveler, is an interesting twist. Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteI like how the daughter is the time traveller and how she gets to talk to her son in the future. Also the idea is very awesome and I wish you luck with the ending and I will look forward to reading the full story.
